about

This was a mission to create this album. Look at all the people involved! What a treat!
So many beautiful memories.

It was called Where the Owl was - because we went to the Byron Bay Blues Fest that year, and there was these GIANT blow up Owls. all lit up and pretty, moving about the festival. And we saw them where we saw them and they moved on, and so, we made where we saw the Owls a meeting spot. There was nothing special about that spot, no tree, no coffee stand, no nothing, just a piece of gravel, where the Owls came down and booped us and we went awwwww. And thats where the Owl was.
It meant something to us.
Thats all music is really. A place and a time and a sound that means something to you.

I remember finishing this who project and realising I had not placed the year on the artwork. And realising I had spelt Thierry's name incorrectly. Dammit.

But mostly, I look back on the memories of making this album as cups of tea, late at night, in our music room / Garage, creating how i wanted songs to go with Dan. And how much I loved that Pre-Production stage.

Some vocals were recorded at Boundy's studio in Byron. And that was super fun. This was my first big project with Boundy. And humans don't get into a league of more amazing than James Boundy. He's sitting at the top hey. Bloody legend.

So these songs are sweet, and sit happy in my heart.
Thanks for listening.

It looks like you can buy it on Amazon Music. But they spelt my name wrong!!! Booooooooo
:)
